02The rules
How the recommendation is made.
Checked in this order. The first matching rule decides the product; the load decides the size.
| If | Then | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You need your own hypervisor, or the load is “very large” | Dedicated server (VDS-64 today if you need it now) | Only bare metal gives IPMI and the whole machine; a dedicated server takes hours to rack |
| Trading platform, “must be steady”, single-tenant required, or a busy database | Virtual dedicated (VDS) | Pinned vCPU on single-tenant hardware, 99.95% SLA, live in 90 minutes |
| Tally / accounting | Tally on Cloud on a Windows VPS | Multi-user TallyPrime with nightly backups; your own licence |
| Game server | Gaming VPS, 8 GB minimum | Priority vCPU and a game-protocol DDoS shield |
| Anything else | Cloud VPS | Lowest price, live in 60 seconds, resize in place |
| Load: small / medium / large / very large | 4 GB / 8 GB / 16 GB / 32 GB (VPS) or 8 / 16 / 32 / 64 GB (VDS) | Sizes you can grow out of without a rebuild |
04Questions
Frequently asked.
About the recommendation.
01Why does it usually recommend a Cloud VPS?
Because most workloads fit one: it is the cheapest, live in 60 seconds, and resizes in place. The tool only moves you to a VDS or dedicated server when steadiness, single-tenancy, your own hypervisor or sheer size demands it.
02What if my case is not covered?
The rules are printed under the tool. If none fits, ask an engineer on chat and describe the workload; sizing advice is free.
03Can I change size later?
A Cloud VPS resizes in seconds without a reinstall. A VDS resizes in hours. A dedicated server is a hardware change. Migration between products is free.
