Latency check:
how far are you from Noida, Delhi NCR?

Twelve round trips from your browser, median reported, with an honest note on what the number does and does not mean. For the real measurement, ask support for a test IP in the datacenter and ping it from your office.

01Test

Measure it.

One click. Wired connections give steadier numbers than Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Your browser sends twelve tiny requests to the urlstart.com web server and reports the median round trip. Nothing is stored. The first request warms the connection and is discarded.

Note: this test currently measures the round trip to the urlstart.com website server, not to a customer server in the datacenter. Ask support for a test IP in Noida to measure the real thing with ping from your office.

02Expected figures

What to expect by city.

Approximate ICMP round trips to our edge in Noida from a wired connection. Your HTTP result above will be a few milliseconds higher.

03Reading the number

What the number means.

HTTP is not ping

An HTTP round trip includes TLS and server time. A raw ping to a test IP is the figure network engineers quote; expect it a few milliseconds lower than this test.

Method

Your ISP matters

Two offices in the same city can differ by 5 ms depending on how their ISP peers. Run the test from the connection you will actually use.

Path

Under 15 ms is “local”

Remote desktop, trading platforms and chatty databases all feel instant. This is the figure Delhi NCR customers see.

Interpretation

40 ms and above

Normal from south India or on mobile data. Websites are fine; interactive desktops less so. The city pages say when a local region suits you better.

Prove it properly

Ask support for a test IP, then run ping and traceroute from your office. That is the measurement to put in a decision.

05Questions

Frequently asked.

What the test does and does not tell you.

01What exactly does the test measure?
The time for twelve small HTTP requests to go from your browser to the test endpoint and back, with the median reported. It includes TLS and server time, so it reads a few milliseconds higher than a raw ping.
02Is it measuring the datacenter?
It measures the endpoint shown under “Measured to”. For a true datacenter figure, ask support for a test IP in Noida and ping it from your office.
03Why did I get a high number?
Mobile data, Wi-Fi, a VPN, or being far from Delhi NCR. Repeat it on a wired connection. From south India 35 to 50 ms is normal; the city pages explain when a local region suits you better.
04Does the test store anything?
No. No account, no cookie, no log. The results exist only in your browser tab.
