Our figures are from the live plan table in October 2026 and exclude GST unless stated. Other providers' numbers are quoted from their own pages on the day we looked.
"How much is a VPS?" gets a different answer depending on who is asking and when. The number on the pricing page is the first-month, no-panel, no-GST, introductory-rate answer. The number on the thirteenth invoice is the one you will actually live with. This piece works through the second one, using our plans because I can state them exactly.
The base price, nine sizes
We price by RAM. vCPU and NVMe scale with it.
| Plan | RAM | vCPU | NVMe | Monthly | Annual, per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VPS-4 | 4 GB | 2 | 50 GB | ₹749 | ₹584 |
| VPS-6 | 6 GB | 3 | 80 GB | ₹999 | ₹779 |
| VPS-8 | 8 GB | 4 | 100 GB | ₹1,299 | ₹1,013 |
| VPS-12 | 12 GB | 5 | 150 GB | ₹1,799 | ₹1,403 |
| VPS-16 | 16 GB | 6 | 200 GB | ₹2,299 | ₹1,793 |
| VPS-24 | 24 GB | 7 | 300 GB | ₹3,299 | ₹2,573 |
| VPS-32 | 32 GB | 8 | 400 GB | ₹4,499 | ₹3,509 |
| VPS-48 | 48 GB | 9 | 600 GB | ₹6,299 | ₹4,913 |
| VPS-64 | 64 GB | 10 | 800 GB | ₹7,999 | ₹6,239 |
Every size comes with a dedicated IPv4 and IPv6, DDoS scrubbing, a 1 Gbps port and Windows Server if you want it. I list those because on many other price sheets each one is a separate line, and that is where a like-for-like comparison usually goes wrong.
The term: 22% off for paying ahead
Monthly is list price. Three months takes 5% off, six months 12%, a year 22%. The annual rate is not a first-year promotion; the renewal invoice is the same figure. If you know you are keeping the server, pay annually. If you are trying something out, pay monthly and cancel whenever.
GST, 18% and claimable
Every invoice from an Indian hosting company carries GST at 18%. ₹584 becomes ₹689. If your business is registered you claim it back as input credit, which is why our invoices carry a Uttar Pradesh GSTIN and why the effective cost returns to ₹584.
A foreign provider billing in dollars shows no GST line. The tax has not gone away. A registered Indian business owes it under reverse charge and has to file it; an unregistered one pays the converted price plus whatever the card charges for a foreign transaction. So when you set a $6 plan against a ₹584 plan: convert, add 18% if you are registered, and look at year two.
Control panels, the biggest optional line
A bare VPS is run over SSH or RDP. If you want a web panel, its licence is almost always the largest add-on on the invoice:
- DirectAdmin, ₹500 a month. Light, and enough for a few sites.
- Plesk, ₹1,699 a month. Linux or Windows, WordPress Toolkit. The one I suggest for mixed stacks.
- cPanel and WHM, ₹2,999 a month. The reseller standard, licensed per server.
So an 8 GB VPS with cPanel is about ₹4,000 a month before GST, with Plesk about ₹2,700, and with no panel ₹1,013 on annual billing. Decide whether you need the panel before you decide the plan size; it changes the bill more than going up a size does.
Other add-ons, and some things that are not
Daily backup is an add-on on every plan, keeping the last 48 hours. Managed support beyond our normal 24-hour engineer support is quoted. Extra IPv4 addresses are quoted. Windows Server is not an add-on; the licence is in the price and you may bring your own. DDoS protection is not an add-on. Migration from your current host is free.
Three customers, three bills
A personal WordPress site: VPS-4, annual, no panel. ₹584 a month, ₹689 with GST, ₹8,268 for the year. With Plesk, ₹2,283 a month.
A small agency with eight client sites: VPS-16, annual, cPanel. ₹1,793 plus ₹2,999 is ₹4,792 a month, ₹5,655 with GST. Agencies that resell cPanel accounts usually recover the licence several times over.
A Tally office with six users: VPS-8 on Windows, annual. ₹1,013 a month plus the daily backup add-on. The Windows licence is included; the Tally licence is the firm's own.
The renewal, with the one figure we can quote
Hostinger's KVM 1 plan shows $6.49 a month as an introductory price, and the same page says it renews at $11.99. Roughly ₹550 becoming roughly ₹1,000, before conversion fees. There is nothing wrong with the product; the point is to compare the second-year number, because that is the one you pay for years. Ours is ₹584 in both years.
Questions we get asked
Is there a setup fee? No.
Can I pay by UPI? Yes. UPI, cards, net banking, PayPal and crypto.
What if I upgrade mid-term? You pay the difference pro rata. The resize keeps your data; a reboot is all it needs.
Can I have the annual price on a monthly plan? No. Annual is cheaper because it saves us billing work and churn. Monthly is ₹749 for the same server and cancels any time.
How do I get my exact figure? The VPS price calculator adds the term, the panel and GST for any size.
