What This Policy Covers
This Acceptable Usage Policy ("AUP") applies to every URLStart service — Cloud VPS, Windows VPS, Dedicated Servers, Colocation, Gaming/Minecraft VPS and all add-ons. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy in addition to our Terms & Conditions . Violations may result in warnings, resource restriction, service suspension, or termination without refund.
Prohibited Activities
You may not use URLStart services to engage in, host, or facilitate any of the following:
- Malware, viruses, ransomware or botnets
- Phishing, credential harvesting or scam pages
- Spam, unsolicited bulk email or mail relaying
- Copyright, trademark or IP infringement
- Illegal content, activity or services
- Harassment, threats or doxxing of others
- Unauthorized/covert cryptocurrency mining
- Unauthorized port scanning or network probing
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Any use that threatens the security, stability or reputation of our network — or that of other customers — is prohibited even if not explicitly listed above.
Bandwidth & Resource Usage
"Unmetered" bandwidth is subject to a fair-usage policy , not unlimited sustained throughput. If total data transfer exceeds 20 TB in a billing cycle, port speed is automatically capped to 100 Mbps for the rest of that cycle.
Continuous media/video streaming, CDN or content-distribution relaying, torrent seeding, and 24/7 high-bandwidth backup mirroring are not permitted under unmetered plans, regardless of whether the 20 TB threshold has been crossed.
Excessive CPU, RAM or disk I/O that degrades performance for other customers on shared infrastructure may result in resource throttling or a required upgrade to a higher-tier plan.

DDoS & Network Abuse
Launching or participating in DDoS attacks, IP/port scanning of external networks, or any attack against our infrastructure or other customers is strictly prohibited and results in immediate suspension.
While we provide free inbound DDoS protection to keep your service online, our systems monitor for outbound abusive traffic (attack traffic, botnet activity, spoofed packets) originating from customer servers. Any server found generating such traffic will be immediately isolated from the network to protect the rest of our infrastructure and customers.
Running open proxies, VPN exit nodes, or Tor exit relays that facilitate anonymized attacks or abuse is not permitted without prior written approval from our team.
Content Restrictions
Illegal / CSAM Content
Hosting of illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, results in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.
Copyrighted Material
Distribution of pirated software, media or other copyrighted material without authorization is not permitted and is removed upon valid takedown notice.
You are solely responsible for content hosted on your server. URLStart reserves the right to remove or disable access to content that violates this policy, Indian law, or a valid legal request, without prior notice in urgent cases.
Enforcement
Warning & Notification
For most first-time or minor violations, we notify you and give a reasonable window to correct the issue before further action.
Restriction or Suspension
Continued or serious violations (DDoS traffic, malware, illegal content) result in immediate resource restriction, port throttling, or full service suspension.
Termination — No Refund
Accounts terminated for AUP violations are not eligible for a refund of any kind, per our Refund Policy , and data may be permanently deleted.
Reporting Abuse
If you believe a URLStart-hosted server is being used to attack, spam, phish, or otherwise abuse you or your network, please report it with as much detail as possible (source IP, timestamps, logs, headers) so we can investigate quickly.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Usage Policy at any time to reflect new threats, legal requirements, or network conditions. Changes take effect upon posting to this page — please check back periodically. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
